Rev. Hubert M. Salley, Jr., 73, of Frankfort, died 6:20 pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1937 in Ross Co. to the late Hubert M. and Beatrice I. Sams Salley. On May 7, 1967 he married the former Beverly R. Malone, who survives. Also surviving is a brother, Edward (Maurice) Salley; a sister, Gloria (Guy) McQuaid; brothers-in-law, Paul (Angelene) Malone and Harry (Connie) Goldsberry, all of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Imogene (Phil) Greathouse, of Florida; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Cheryl (Mike Couch) Malone, of Indianapolis, IN; several great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Johnny Kellough. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Brenda Salley; an infant sister; a brother-in-law, Frank Malone; and a sister-in-law, Patty Goldsberry. Rev. Salley was a minister with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union and had pastored many churches in our area. He was a barber and he also owned and operated Aabe's Termite and Pest Control. He retired in 1998. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Adena Health System, especially Dr. John Gabis and Dr. Alan Mong. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, with Dr. Dan Tipton, Rev. Bruce Viar and Rev. Marlyn Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 12-4 pm Sunday or 1 hour prior to the service at Haller's on Monday.
