Howard Hutchison

Howard E. "Butch" Hutchison, 76, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly in Richfield, North Carolina on April 12, 2023 while doing what he loved to do.

He was born March 20, 1947, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Howard and Martha (Detty) Hutchison. On December 31, 1978, he married his beloved wife, Linda L. (Woodruff) Hutchison, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, Cindy (Bruce) Cooper, Cheryl (Rick) Jenkins, and Jim (Cathy) Hutchison; six grandchildren, Trey Cooper, Cory Crabtree, Alex Penny, Casey Brown, Brynn Hutchison, and Olivia Hutchison; seven great-grandchildren, Ava, Wyatt, Phoenix, Canyon, Kinley, Elijah, and Elena; brother and sister-in-law, Mike (Bonnie) Hutchison; sister, Debra Hutchison; his uncle, Norman Detty; close friend, Howard Holloway; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Woods, and his brother, David Hutchison.

Butch retired from the Mead Paper Company in 2005 after numerous years of employment. In his free time, he could be found enjoying the outdoors, going on fishing trips, hunting, or looking for mushrooms in the woods. However, his favorite thing in the world was spending time with his beloved family and friends, laughing, and having a good time with the ones he loved most.

Those who knew Butch know that he was a private man. In keeping with his wishes, family and close friends will have a private graveside service in Grandview Cemetery to honor his memory.
