Howard Dean Horsley, 58, of Chillicothe, passed away Saturday morning, January 7, 2023 at his home, following a 6-month battle with cancer.
He was born March 31, 1964, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late James V. Horsley, and Opal (Knisley) Horsley.
In addition to his mother Opal, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Horsley, and Toni Horsley-Bobo; six grandchildren, Nixon Riggin, Titan Bobo, Jaydrian Kerry, Eastyn George, Ayla Kerry, and Sora Kerry; his brother, Vernon (Cristina) Horsley; his sister, Emma Horsley; a nephew, Cody Derosett; a niece, Holly Derosett; close friends, Joe Mick, Tony Quincel, Rick Davis, and Tom Howard; longtime girlfriend, Lorie George; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members.
Howard enjoyed being outdoors sitting under the shade trees, and was frequently found mowing his lawn when the weather was nice. He also enjoyed going fishing and working on cars.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 11:00am until the time of the service for visitation.
