Howard Dennis

Howard B. Dennis, 88, of Chillicothe, died 7:47 pm, Monday, January 31, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1922 in Rombaur, MO to the late Preston and Rose Doorman Dennis. On March 4, 1941 he married Wanda Coffman, who died December 10, 1993. Survivors include two children, Sandy (David) Sexton, of Chillicothe and Terry (Debra) Dennis, of Frankfort; five grandchildren, Michael Dennis, Craig (Mandy) McGarvey, Jason (Rob) McGarvey, Jessica (Fiancé Rich Moody) Sexton and Michael Reeser; three great-grandchildren, Michaela Dennis, Kaila McGarvey and Destiny Reeser; and special extended family, Wayne (Carmen) and Roger Tatman. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe, Brad an Bill Dennis and two sisters, Lorene Muscle and Hazel Kennedy. Mr. Dennis retired from the Mead Corporation in 1984. He was a World War II Army Veterans and he was an avid golfer and loved traveling. A memorial service will be held 2-5 pm, February 12, 2011 at the Odd Fellows Hall, 155 Watt St. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
