Howard Acord

Howard L. Acord, Jr., 73, died unexpectedly at 1:39pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1941, in Chillicothe to the late Howard L., Sr. and Helen L. (Chaney) Acord. He is survived by his sister Peggy A. Gallagher, of Chillicothe; nieces and nephews Ted (Joyce) Click; Mark (Diane) Click; Cheryl (John) Evans; Tim Click; Hans (Gina) Click; Billie Jo Gallagher; Alexis (Ted) Stearos; and Deidra (Saul Olguin) Puentes; great-nieces and great-nephews Joseph Click; Sydney (Dyllon) Cryder; Josh Evans; Lindsey Evans; Kelli Click; Jessica Click; and several great-great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister and brothers-in-law Jane and Ted Click; and Harold Gallagher. Howard had worked at the former Wear-Ever Aluminum Co. and Billings Furniture. He loved all animals, especially dogs, horse racing and enjoyed hunting. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 1, at Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Brent Rolsten officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co. Humane Society, 2308-A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
