Herbert Wade

Herbert E. Wade, Jr., of Chillicothe, passed away the morning of March 6, 2016, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born July 24, 1952 in Ross Co. to the late Herbert E. and Kathryn (Pickens) Wade Sr. On December 15, 1995 he married Connie Rinehart, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mike (Amanda) Bruce, of Fairfield, OH and Jeff (Nichole) Bruce, of Linden, VA; grandchildren, Hope, Taylor, Tyler, Travis, and Haydunn Bruce and Kaleb Allen; brothers, Bill (Rita) Wade, Chillicothe, Jim (Sue) Wade, Kingston, and Jerry (Mary) Wade, Ray; nephews, Dustin, Dan (Amy Jalbuena), and Jared Wade, and Dustin (Cassie) Detillion; nieces, Nichole Allen, Gina (Michael) Humphrey and Melanie (Michael) Trainer; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Zachary Stepp. Herb worked for Loft Painting of Portsmouth and was a lifetime member of Local Union 555. He loved racing and raced at Raven Rock Drag Strip. He also raced Dune Buggies at Devils Hill Raceway. Herb was an avid NASCAR fan, and a devoted Dale Earnhardt fan. In his younger years he loved to fish, hunt and trap. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, and will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. John Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 11-1 pm Thursday at Haller's.
