Herbert Lawhorn

Herbert Richard "Dick" Lawhorn, 69, of Chillicothe, died at 3:00am Saturday, September 30, 2006, in his home. His family came to appreciate his strong loving spirit and strength during his courageous battle with cancer. His love for life, and his fight for it, will forever be in everyone's hearts. He was born December 9, 1936, in Ross Co., to the late Herbert and Caroline (Schrader) Lawborn. On November 4, 1957, he married the former Leota M. Woodruff, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Dean Neff; son and daughter-in-law Herbert III and Kacy Lawhorn; grandsons Chris and Bryan Neff and Zackery and Cody Lawhorn; brother and sister-in-law John and Dessie Lawhorn; sisters and brothers-in-law Beverly and Don Curtis; Jeanette and Dennis Hill; and Helena and Richard Brown, all of Chillicothe. Herb was a testing lab inspector for CHILPACO before retiring in 2001. Funeral services will held at 1:00pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
