Herbert O. Julian II It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. Herbert Oren Julian Jr passed away Sunday, Dec. 27th, 2009 at his home. We know without hesitation of thought that the love of his life and his soul mate, Judith (Patterson) Julian, whom he married November 22nd 1963, was waiting for him with open arms. She preceded him in death on April 6th, 1991. Herbert was born November 17th, 1942 to the late Francis (Burchell) Trego and Herbert O. Julian in Washington DC. He leaves behind to cherish fond memories five children: Angela Kaye Beatty (Frank), Leah Michelle Detty (Tony), Francie Jean Cutright (Mike), Herbert O. Julian III (Susan), and Shawn Boggs, all of Chillicothe. Eleven grandchildren, Alisha, Frankie, Ashley and Bridget Beatty, Tyler and Zach Lowe, Nick Detty, Justin and Kaitlyn Young, Steve and Loren Boggs; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Madison Hutton-Young and Caleb Beatty, all of Chillicothe; step-father, Lloyd Trego; brother Mike Trego, of Columbus and several nieces; nephews; uncles and aunts. Mr. Julian was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran having served in the Bay of Pigs. He retired from the Mead Paper Co. after 17 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion post 62 and AMVETS Post 4. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, father, Herbert O. Julian who died in active duty during World War II, and his mother Francis Burchell Trego; a sister Delores Julian Cartee, and niece Melody Cartee Vincent. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will be held 11:30 am Wednesday December 30, 2009, in Allen Chapel Cemetery, Ray Ohio. The family will receive friends at the American Legion Post 62, 1:30pm Wednesday.
