Helen L. Strausbaugh Helen L. Maughmer McAfee Strausbaugh, 86, of Chillicothe, died 12:15 am, Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, in the Haller Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at Haller's. She was born September 3, 1921 in Chillicothe to Robert W. and Mina Donaldson Maughmer. Survivors include her children, Robert L. (Lois) Young, of Columbus and Major E. (Linda) Young, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Robert Young Jr., Jacqueline Young, Carrie DeBord, and Micah Young; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlyn, and Briggs Young, Kennedy and Tate DeBord; sisters, Dorothy Wiltsie and Loretta (Marvin) Motes, of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Denton R. McAfee Sr and Howard Strausbaugh, a son, Denton McAfee Jr., a sister, Phyllis Bain, and a brother Major Maughmer. Mrs. Strausbaugh attended the First Weslyan Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Weslyan Childrens' Ministry, 89 S. Mulberry St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
