Helen Mccullough

Helen Elizabeth McCullough, 98, of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, February 25, 2025 at the Senior Care Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Wichita Falls, Texas, following a brief illness.
She was born March 24, 1926, in Alma, Ohio, daughter of the late Hobart and Hazel (Burdett) Pool. On July 5, 1950, she married the love of her life, Robert, who preceded her in death on July 12, 1999.
Surviving are her children, Carol Sabo, and Cheryl (Jeff) Dresbach; grandchildren, Lisa (John) Dresbach Choate, Morgan (Michael) Dresbach Johnson, and James (Sandy) Sabo; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Emmarie, Danica, and Aaliyah; her sister, Ethel Hill; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Annette, Arnet, Dorothy, Estel, Frank, Harold, Larry, James, John, Michael, and Robert.
Helen was a graduate of Clarksburg High School at the age of 16. She went on to work at New System Bakery and Chilpaco. In her free time, she enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, and watching her beloved Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. She also enjoyed local sporting events and treasured her role as Aunt Helen to many. Her daughters would like to give a special thank you to her niece, Beth Smith, and nephew, Greg McCullough, for providing such a strong support system for Helen at her home in Ohio.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Kysor officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home. In honor of Helen, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Buckeye attire to both the visitation and funeral service!
