Helen Jackson

Helen Clara Jackson was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning January 29, 2012, at her home in Chillicothe, OH. Born in Pike County, OH, on May 25, 1910, Helen married Cletis W. Jackson on November 15, 1929, in Columbus, OH. As a fulltime homemaker and devoted mother, Helen was a child of God and a member of multiple churches during her earthly life. She was most recently a member of First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. Helen blessed others with her warm smile, giving nature and gracious heart. She was an inspiration to those who met her because of these traits along with her strong will and inner strength, all of which were fueled by her love for and faith in the Lord. Helen was preceded in death by her mother Minerva Harris; father William F. Harris; sisters Della, Flora and Alice; brothers Floyd, Alfred and Elzie; twin brother Emory; husband of 38 years, Cletis W. Jackson; daughter-in-law Althea Jackson; great-grandson K'Juan Reeves and several family members and cherished friends over her lifespan of nearly 102 years. She is survived by her son Charles W. Jackson; daughter and son-in-law Loretta M. (Leo) Conkel; grandchildren Mawarine Lyons, Charlene (Todd) Reeves, Cletis Jackson, Charles E. Jackson, Debra (Rev. Clyde) Sales, Charles (Patricia) Jackson, Patricia Jackson, and Joanne Trent; 3 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great-grandchild; a host of relatives; several beloved friends and a special grandson Jevon Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, February 1, at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Alston officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 pm at HALLER FUNERAL HOME and 1 hour prior to the funeral Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to: First Baptist Church, 65 W.
