Calling Hours : 11-1 Friday Funeral : 1:00 pm Friday Interment: Concord Church Cemetery Helen "Babe" L. Hall, 87, of Chillicothe, died 4:20 pm, December 20, 2011, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 19, 1924 in Ross Co. to the late Raymond W. and Lillian Bennett Speakman. On May 18, 1944 she married Edgar A. Hall, who preceded her in death February 14, 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy L. Smith, of Piketon; grandchildren, Darla (Mark) Gordon, Lisa Stoltz, Brenda, Tommie and Cindy Smith, and Teresa (Tim) Holman; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Bill "Johnny" (June), Marvin "Pete", Herschel (Carol) and Harold (Mary) Speakman; 4 sisters, Wanda Tackett, Mona (Ray) Stevens, Marcella Speakman, and Jeanne (David) Stevens; a special sister-in-law, Irene Speakman; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Speakman; 2 brothers, Raymond "Jack" and Norman Speakman; a great-grandchild, Bailey Wagner; and a son-in-law, George Stoltz. She was well liked by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Larry Ault officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Church Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1 pm Friday at Haller's.
