Helen Congrove

H. Lucile Congrove Helen Lucile Congrove, 89, of Chillicothe, died 7:33 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services, under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home, will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 30, 2008 in Springbank Cemetery, Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. She was born June 24, 1919 in Adelphi, OH to Ralph E. and Martha N. Redfern Harrison. On October 4, 1937 she married Raymond Congrove, who died August 10, 1981. Survivors include a daughter, Kay (Philip) Schneider, of Urbana; a son-in-law, Dick (Shirley) Merriman; a grandson, Victor Merriman, of Chillicothe; 4 great-grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Shane Downs, and Noah and Jessie Merriman; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Jasmine and Sage Christopher Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband; 2 children, Jo Ann Merriman and Norman Congrove; and a grandchild, Elaine Inouye. Mrs. Congrove was a member of Brookside Church, 2215 Egypt Pike, where memorial contributions may be made in her honor, or to the donor's favorite charity.
