Helen L. Breckenridge Helen L. "Granny" Breckenridge, 75, of Chillicothe, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 12:22 am. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 3, 2008 in the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ, Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. She was born November 26, 1932 to John and Nettie Brown Tyler. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Rickie Breckenridge, of Bellflower, CA, Caleb (Gretchen) Breckenridge, of Chillicothe, Timothy Breckenridge, of Columbus; a daughter, Mary (Thomas) Burks, of Columbus; and husband, Caleb J. Breckenridge, of Chillicothe. Granny blesses 11 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special sisters-in-law, Julia Tyler and Nancy (Willis) Smith; and friends, James and Marion Turner. Helen was a devoted and faithful member of the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ. She was a true soldier in God's army. She also lived her life selflessly and whole-heartedly. Granny was a protector through prayer and gave guidance to those who needed it.
