Helen Bennett

Helen M. Bennett, 88, of Chillicothe, died at 2:15am Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Westmoreland Place. She was born January 22, 1925, in Madison Co., KY to the late Samuel and Odie (Murphy) McQueen. She was married on April 25, 1947, to Floyd Bennett, who preceded her in death on April 25, 1994. She was also predeceased by a son Sam Settles, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Shirley (Ralph) Cyrus, Chillicothe; daughter-in-law Roberta Settles, Chillicothe; grandchildren Ralph (Melanie) Cyrus, Elizabethton, TN; Tim (Nancy) Settles, Conneaut, OH; Karen Harlow, Scott (Laura) Cyrus, Jodi (Greg) Thomas, Gloria (Allen) Pine, all of Chillicothe; 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Helen worked for 35 years at the former White Laundry, retiring in 1986. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, July 29, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Jim King officiating. Burial will follow in Three Locks Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 12-2pm at Haller Funeral Home.
