Helen Arrington

Helen L. Arrington, 95, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord 3:45 pm, Friday, November 26, 2010, at her home. She was born September 25, 1915 in Chillicothe, OH to David and Grace Everhart Hall. On July 8, 1936 she married Hugh Arrington, who died May 23, 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Martha (Don) Benner, of Bainbridge, and Dianne (Glenn Pettit) Chapman-Pettit, of Waverly; eight grandchildren, Molly McLeland, Greg Benner, Cindy Hambrick, Sarah Husseini, Samantha Irvine, Allyson Copper, Lisa Underation, and Jeff Morgan; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Crusie, of Greenfield; a son-in-law, Wayne Morgan; a brother-in-law, James Arrington; and a special friend and care giver, Ethel Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Mary June Morgan; and a son-in-law, Denny Chapman. Mrs. Arrington was a retired school teacher. She loved teaching and directing class plays at Paint Valley High School. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she played the organ for several years. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Rev. Don Ringer officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or Community Care Hospice.
