Hazel Seward

Hazel Marie Seward, 88, of Chillicothe, died 5:00 am, Friday, January 16, 2015 at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born August 16, 1926 in Elm Grove, OH to the late James and Elsie Lansing Perdue. On November 4, 1965 she married Lyle G. Seward, Sr., who died September 9, 2008. Survivors include her children, Edward (Carol) Whitley, of Chillicothe, Wanda Greenburg, of Cincinnati, Steve (Sharon) Whitley, Cheryl (Roger) Webb, John (Jill) Whitley, all of Chillicothe, Donald (Marie) Whitley, of South Salem; Glen Seward, Alan (Teresa) Seward and Jimmie (Theresa) Seward, all of Chillicothe; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren. Mrs. Seward worked for Herlihy Moving and Storage and loved spending time with family. The family would like to thank Westmoreland Place, 2 West, for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Roger Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 1-4 pm Sunday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co. Senior Citizen Center or the Ross Co. Humane Society.
