Hazel Mason

Hazel L. Mason, 95, died at 6:10pm April 26, 2017, at the Wexner Heritage House, Columbus. She was born September 21, 1921, in Ross County, OH to the late Frank and Sadie (Bayless) Lowe.   Surviving are her children: Richard (Joyce) Mason, Michael (Grace) Mason, all of Columbus; Gloria (Art) Pace, Indianapolis, IN; Peggy Pugh, Terry (Phil) Freeman and India Rutledge, all of Dayton, OH; Roberta Stevens, Toledo, OH; and Neil "Tony" (Barbara) Mason, Canal Winchester, OH; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; a sister-in-law Mattie Lowe; and many friends including a special friend, Claudette Strother, of Columbus. She was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Mason, her parents, a special companion Shelton E. Keel, and siblings: John Frank, Bill, Marcellas, Forest, Leonard, Roger, Margaret and Marie.   Mrs. Mason was a longtime member of Zion Baptist Church, 84 S. Clinton Rd., Chillicothe, where funeral services will be held at Noon, Wednesday May 3, with Elder Clifford Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
