Hattajo O'Neill

Hattajo L. O'Neill, 65, of Chillicothe, died at 4:28pm March 19, 2012, in her home after an extended illness. She was born on December 14, 1946, in Chillicothe, to the late Joseph H. and Mary L. (Willis) Niks. On January 8, 1972, she married Robert J. O'Neill, who survives. Also surviving are her two daughters, Tami (Doug) Dove; and Jennifer O'Neill; one step-sister, Joyce Freeman; 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Brock and Steven Dove; Patrick, Makayla and Kyrsten O'Neill, all of Chillicothe; and a special cousin Luann (Bill) Vance, of Ashland, KY, that lived with her growing up. She was predeceased by her parents and two sons, Sean P. and Chad J. O'Neill. Hattajo had many friends and acquaintances. She was involved in flag football for several years and had also volunteered with the school and 4H. Hattajo enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. She loved to camp and meet new people. She never knew a stranger. She was loved by many people and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday, March 23, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Rich Cottrill officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Huntington Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8pm at Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Ave. to help the family with expenses.
