Harold Stonerock

Harold B. Stonerock, 87, of Chillicothe, died at 9:00am Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in Atrium Medical Center, Middletown, OH, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday August 23, in the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be conducted at 11:30am in Forest Cemetery, Circleville. Friends may call Friday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home where an Elks service will be held at 7:00pm. Harold was born March 8, 1921, in Pickaway Co. to the late Otis and Marie Figlestahler Stonerock. He was the widower of Barbara Ann Helwagen Stonerock. Surviving are his daughter Barbara Kay Langdon, Middletown, OH; sons Hal Louis Stonerock, Chillicothe; Gregory Stonerock and his significant other Carmella Earich, Thornville, OH; grandchildren Brennan Scott (Andrea) Stonerock, Greenville, SC; and Katie Langdon, Middletown, OH; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Paul and Otis "Cherry" Stonerock; a brother-in-law George Helwagen; and a sister-in-law Margaret Helwagen. Harold was a retired sheet metal worker with Mechanical Construction Co. He served his country in the US Army. He was a member of several organizations including the Elks, No. 51; the American Legion in both Chillicothe and Circleville; and the Moose in Middletown, No. 501. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds fan.
