Harold Sollars

H. Ivan "Buck" Sollars, 90, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday night, June 9, 2024 at The Wyngate Senior Living Center, following an extended illness.
He was born October 16, 1933, in Chillicothe, son of the late Harold L. and Marie K. (Harper) Sollars. On July 24, 1953, he married his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Sollars, who preceded him in death on June 25, 2020.
Surviving are their children, Cheryl (Randy) Gallagher, Craig (Judy) Sollars, and Chuck Sollars; grandson, Kyle (Tiffany) Sollars; two twin great-grandchildren, Hunter and Haylee; as well as his good friends, Daryl Malone and Larry Hinkle.
Ivan was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He went on to work for Chilpaco as a pipefitter for 36 years before retiring. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 62, the American Legion 757, and the Union Local 988.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Wyngate staff, to National Church Residences Hospice, and a special thank you to his beloved nurse, Randi Jo for the excellent care he received over the last several months.
Following cremation, graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery.
