Harold Herbert Remy, 73, of McArthur, died on Friday, January 8, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on January 24, 1942, to the late Earl and Frances (Bryant) Remy. He married Angelika (Feuerbach) Remy, who preceded him in death on April 03, 2007. He is survived by his children, Tammy Lowery, of Fountain, CO; and Jessica Remy, of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Tracy, Richard, Kaden, and Brayden; four great-grandchildren, as well as four brothers, Elmer, Keith, Ronnie and Jeff Remy. Harold was a Vietnam War veteran, where he served honorably from 1967 to 1973. During his military career, Harold received the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Bronze Star. He enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends and making them laugh, traveling, and taking road trips to surprise family and friends. A military graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Dayton National Cemetery. Public calling hours will not be observed.
