On Sunday, July 3, 2022, Harold Louis Frey, Jr., "Chip", 61, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at his residence with his loving fiancé Amanda Scott by his side.
He was born May 14, 1961, in Chillicothe, Ohio. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Harold L. (Lucy) Frey; and his mother, Patricia A. Wilson. He left a son to mourn his loss, Patrick B. (Ramona) Frey, of Germany; grandchildren, Chris, Sophia, Jacob, and Vivian; his loving sister, Kim Frey; three brothers, Brian Frey, Roger Jones, and Dale Jones; the daughter of his fiancé, Victoria Scott; special aunts, Sue Holdren, and Cass Stull; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Wilson.
Chip was employed for 31 years at V&S Galvanizing in Columbus, Ohio. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in Germany and was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was a 34-year member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 1626. He loved watching westerns, spending time with his animals, fishing, camping, gardening, and cooking. He loved motorcycles and anything Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Most recently, Chip became engaged to his girlfriend of 11 years, Amanda Scott, on June 14, 2022. He was always helping people and was known for his big heart.
He was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, grandfather, father, and fiancé. He will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
The family is honoring his wishes of cremation at the Haller Funeral Home. There will be no public calling hours or services. A celebration of life gathering is being planned for a future date.
