Harold K. Cook, 70, of Chillicothe, died March 23, 2018, unexpectedly at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH. He was born October 28, 1947 in Richmond, KY to the late Daniel W. and Chloe C. Peters Cook. Survivors include his son, Brian (Dawn) Cook, Hebron, KY; a step-daughter, Chrissie (Tom) Lokesak, Florence, KY; grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, and Macean; a step-grandson, Michael (Jennifer) Humphrey; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Lionel and Oscar; brothers, John H. (Pat), Glen D. (Mildred), and Carl R. (Janice) Cook; and a sister, Helen Wilson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wayne Cook; and a sister, Jean Edwards. Mr. Cook was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. He loved to fish, hunt and play and sing bluegrass gospel music. He retired from the Housekeeping Department of the VA Medical Center-Chillicothe and was a member of the Clover Hill Lodge 253 F & AM, VFW Post 108, American Legion Post 62, AMVETS Post 4, Moose Lodge 1628. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Pastor Dave Mills officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Cottage Corner Church Cemetery, Piketon. Friends may call 11:00 – 1:00 at Haller's on Thursday.
