Hal Bryant Watts, 76, of Chillicothe, died 8:45 am, Wednesday, July 03, 2013, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a month long illness. He was born January 22, 1937 in Ross Co. to the late Hal and Bertha Mae Bryant Watts. On March 5, 1960 he married Lynda Lou McDaniel, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Lisa (Mark) Evans, of Summerville, SC and Brian Watts, of Columbus, OH; and two grandchildren, Seth and Trenton (April) Evans. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom. Mr. Watts retired after 30 years of service from the Mead Paper Corporation as an accountant. He was an Ohio State University graduate and fan. He was a member of Walnut St. United Methodist Church where he served in the soup kitchen, and as head usher. He volunteered for the Food Pantry and with the Red Cross. He was a member of BPOE 52, the Moose Lodge, and Sons of the American Legion. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Monday in Grandview Cemetery, Rev. Scott Smith officiating. In keeping with Hal's wishes, calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Health Foundation, Cancer Fund, 272 Hospital Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
