Gretchen Knisley

Gretchen V. (Wisecup) Knisley, 47, of Bainbridge, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 6, 2013, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born June 19, 1966 in Ross County to Michael V. and Patricia K. Wisecup. On March 12, 1993 she married the love of her life, Tim Knisley, who survives. In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include her daughter, McKenzie P. Reutinger, of Bainbridge; brothers, Patrick Wisecup, of Chillicothe, and Carl (Kelli) Shaw, of Athens; a sister, Cassandra (Steven) Beavers, of Kingston; many special loving aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; in-laws; and friends, including a special friend Ann Smith. She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Leslie Knisley; a son, Ethan Knisley; grandparents, Jewel and Constance Adams and Delbert and Inez Wisecup. Gretchen graduated from Paint Valley High School and the Pickaway-Ross Joint Vocational School in 1985. She was an avid Reds baseball fan, especially Joey Votto, and she loved Loretta Lynn. Gretchen was admired by many for her decorating skills. She was co-owner of Tim's Tires and Accessories. She was a loving Christian housewife and mother. She also worked at the Lighthouse Youth Center in Bainbridge. She was a co-owner and founder of Suspicious Minds. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday at Zion Baptist Church, Revs. David Maughmer and J. Troy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call 1-3 pm and 6-9 pm Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knisley Memorial Scholarship Fund, Vinton/Ross Co.
