Gregory Griffith

Gregory A. Griffith, 54, of Hilliard, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at home of a massive heart attack.   He was born September 7, 1963, in Chillicothe, OH, to Garold K. and Janet Griffith, who survive. On October 8, 1994, he married the former Margaret Danielle "Dani" Ginn, also surviving.   In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his three young children: Ashley, Scott and Matthew; a brother Douglas Griffith and wife Deena; his uncle and Godfather David Purpero; aunts: Phyllis Mathis and Connie (Dan) Scott; his grandmother Irene Griffith; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jerry & Peggy Ginn; brother-in-law Mike (Jenny) Ginn; and many cousins and friends that he loved. He was predeceased by grandparents Frank and Gertrude Purpero; grandfather Lester Griffith; and his uncle Luther Mathis.   Greg was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, Hilliard. He was employed by National Church Residences as a financial analyst and a property manager. He was a 1981 graduate of Chillicothe High School, 1985 graduate of Otterbein College and a 1987 graduate of Ohio State University with a Master's Degree in Finance. Greg loved God and his family, he loved helping his children with their school work and their sports activities. He coached many sports including soccer, basketball and baseball. Greg had a positive influence on many young people's lives.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 and 5-7pm Wednesday at Haller Funeral & Crematory, where a wake service will be held at 7pm.   Memorial contributions may be made St. Vincent DePaul of St. Brendan, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026.
