Grace V. Steward Richardson, 98 of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord December 30, 2018 at the National Church Residences following an extended illness. Born May 6, 1920 to the late John W. Steward and Anna Mae Banks Steward, she married Harry J. Richardson on April 7, 1940, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1994. To this union four children were born. Surviving, a son James H. Richardson, Cincinnati, two daughters, Bonnie Nixon, Canal Winchester, and Sondra "Kay" Hall, Chillicothe. 8 grandchildren, Andrea "Toots" Cousins, Oliver Wendell Cousins 111, Richard (Yvonne) Hall, April(Rob) Allen, Krista (Jarrod) Howell, Craig (Cote) Richardson, Carla (Troy) Walker, and Justin (Angie Barker) Hall, 18 Great grandchildren, Jordan, AJ, Summer, Kennedy, Joshua, Nya, Faith, Lauren, Casey, Brian, Keegan, Cameron, KayLee, Kayla, Kelli, Kyla, Justin, Jaiden and 7 Great, Great, Grandchildren . Preceding her in death, daughter Judith A. Cousins, grandson Harry "Tony" Cousins, daughter-in law Virginia "Ginny" Richardson, son-in-law Perry R. Hall; sisters: Bertha Wallace, Alma Washington and Leona Cousins; and Brother William Steward. Also left to cherish her memory are nieces: Marian Hawkins, Joan Cousins, Dorothy Cousins, Marcia Cousins, Barbara Beaty, Kathy Green; and nephews: Jeff Harriston, Mike Richardson, and Garry and Edward (Sylvia) Cousins; special friends, Julie Brandon and Edith Peterson. A life member of Zion Baptist church, where she was a member of the Loyal Club, Busy Bee Club, Esther Missionary Society, Senior Choir, Deaconess Board, and Church Mother. She worked in the food pantry, and clothing bank, and was Church Clerk for many years. She was a member of Church Women United, the Woman of the Year, and Trail Blazer of the Year, EUMBA. She loved to lift her voice in song any chance she got, letting all who knew her know how much she loved the Lord. Grace was an avid bowler until her health declined. The family would like to give a special thanks to the employees at National Church Residence. Funeral services will be held at 6pm Sunday, January 6, at Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. J. Troy Gray officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11am Monday in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-6pm at Zion Baptist Church.
