Goble J. Estep, also known by many as "Gabe" and "Butch" Estep, 73, of Frankfort, died at 1:45am, October 30, 2015, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born August 8, 1942, in Sunbury, OH, to the late Richard Goble and Elizabeth Francis (Fairchild) Estep. On February 14, 1987, he married the former Jo Ann "Jody" (Murphy) Mace, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Shawna D. (Brian) Sibbalds, of Delaware, OH; Julie A. (Randy) Detty, Chillicothe; daughter-in-law Sheryl Estep, London, OH; step-sons William E. Mace, Graham, NC; and Steven (Heather) Mace, Chillicothe; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister Joyce Jordan, of Chillicothe; and a brother O'Dell "Ed" Estep, of West Jefferson, OH. He was predeceased by his parents; his son Michael Scott Estep; and a sister Mary Ann Ingles. Gabe was an electrical engineer and served his country in the US Air Force. He was very active in the Boy Scouts serving as a Master and in the Order of the Arrow. Gabe was also a member of the South Salem United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, November 4, at Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Phillip Malone officiating.
