Gloria Winfield

Gloria J. (Beard) Winfield, 67, died at 11:43pm June 23, 2016, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born August 6, 1948, in Chillicothe, to the late James W., Sr. and Dorothy E. (Cole) Beard. On September 27, 1982, she married John M. Winfield, Jr., who preceded her in death on May 7, 1992. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law John (Michelle) Winfield III; grandsons John M., IV, Nicholas F. and Jamison D. Winfield, all of Londonderry; brothers and sisters: George (Helen) Beard, Keith (Wendy) Beard, Pat (Terry) Beard, Jeff (Mary) Beard, Danny Beard and Teresa Maley, Patricia "Tish" Smith, Diana Joyner, all of Chillicothe, James (Gail) Beard, of Texas, Leon (Delores) Beard, of Maryland, Linda (Tim) Marshall, of Cleveland, OH, and Joyce Hardin, of Toledo; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother Timmy Beard. Gloria was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and worked as a pre-school teacher at Carver Community Center. She was a member of the former Zion Baptist Church located on Mill St. while her heath permitted. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, June 30, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Private inurnment committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm Thursday at Haller's.
