Gloria Scott

Gloria P. Scott Gloria P. Scott, 71, of Frankfort, died 11:18 am, Monday, March 16, 2009, in her daughter's home, unexpectedly. She was born April 12, 1937 in Clarksburg, OH to James A. and Mary Simmons Trent Sr. On July 24, 1963 she married Morris C. Scott, who died July 26, 2008. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Scott, of Pickerington; five sisters, Madaline Trent, Julia (Floyd) Lowe, and Charlotte (William) Tucker, all of Columbus, Anne Lowe, of Roxabelle, and Cora Brown, of Ironton; a brother, Ellsworth "Joe" Trent, of Frankfort; sisters-in-law, Jane Nelson, Mary Cole, and Alice Trent; a special friend, Lynn McCarley and a special nephew, Garrett Trent. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Green and Mary Baker; and a brother James Trent Jr. Mrs. Scott retired from the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe as an RN. She was a 1958 graduate of the Grant School of Nursing; received her BSN in 1980 from Ohio University; and was a US Air Force Veteran. She was a member of the Liberty Valley AME Church; American Legion Post 14; the Ohio Nurses Association; Ross District Nurses Association and the Ross Co. Senior Citizens. Military graveside services, conducted by Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held 1:00 pm Monday in the Twin Township Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
