Gloria Bonner

Gloria K. Bonner, of Chillicothe, passed away on March 22, 2021 at 11:25am at Ohio State University Hospital.   Mrs. Bonner was born January 19, 1943, in Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband William Bonner. William "Bill" and Gloria were married for over 40 years. They are now together again in heaven.   In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents Herman Bowen and Cora Lucille (Duckett) Ellinger; her step-father Clarence Ellinger; three brothers: Herman Bowen, Jr., Norman Lewis Bowen and Dwight Bowen; and dear friends Harold and Virginia "Ginny" Riffle.   She is survived by 2 step-sons: Bill (Katrina) Bonner, Jr. and Kenneth (Lisa) Bonner, both of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren: Klarissa Bonner, Justin Davis, William Bonner III, Taylor Bonner Dreyer, Knute Bonner and Savanah Bonner; one great-grandchild: Virginia Bonner; a sister Vickie (Larry) Bowen Morgan, of Paducah, KY; a niece Dr. Bethanie (Timothy) Morgan Followell, of Louisville, KY; and many special friends.   Mrs. Bonner retired from Kenworth Truck Co. after 21 years of service. She was consistent in her devotion to the welfare of others, volunteering her time at Adena Medical Center, the Lazarus Committee, St. Mary Church and the Reach for Recovery program for breast cancer patients. She loved her church, St. Mary, and was a faithful parishioner.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Thursday, March 25, at St. Mary Church, Rev. Timothy Hayes, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Expressions of sympathy are welcomed in the form of donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Mary, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
