Glenn A. Jeter, 70, of Chillicothe, died 1:43 pm, April 5, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born March 12, 1947 in Ironton, OH to the late Allen and Eileen McComis Jeter. In 1970 he married Susan Harlacher, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Amy (Noah) McNaughton, Waverly, and Ryan (Kelly) Jeter, Williamsport; two grandchildren, Ally and Taryn McNaughton; and a sister, Susan (Michael) Clark, Toledo. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dana (Kelly) Jeter. Glenn attended Ironton City Schools and graduated from Coal Grove, Dawson Bryan S. D. in 1965. During this time he was active with the Boy Scouts of America, and attained the rank of Eagle Scout, as his father did. He graduated from Ohio University in 1970 and received his master's degree from West Virginia University in 1973. Glenn and Susan moved to Waverly in 1975 and Glenn retired from the VA Medical Center-Chillicothe after 28 years of employment. While at the VA, he served as an adjunct field faculty member for the Ohio State University and West Virginia University. He retired while serving as the Division Director, Mental Health Community Support Team. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday at Haller's.
