Glenda J. Long, 70, of South Salem, died 6:30 am, March 28, 2011, at the Odyssey House of Select Specialty Care, Columbus, OH following an extended illness. She was born January 25, 1941 in Ross Co. to Cecil and Pauline Clark Osborne. On April 13, 1962 she married Harvey Long, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Vicky (Bill Scott) Case, of South Salem; a grandson, Brett Long, of Columbus; grandchildren, Sarah Smith and Josh Case; step-grandchildren, Kyle and Rebecca Dove and Gabby Smith; a brother, Raymond Osborne, of Chillicothe; a sister, Linda (Bill) Burton, of Chillicothe; a brother-in-law, Jay Montgomery; and nieces and nephews, Penny (Doug) Good, Kay Purdum and Kevin Hall. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Montgomery; a step-grandchild, Joel Case; and a son-in-law, Joe Case. Mrs. Long had worked for Sumburger and Wear-Ever. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 pm Wednesday at Haller's.
