Gladys Holton

Gladys V. Holton, 92, of Richmond Dale, OH, died 5:00 am, at her home, Monday, July 4, 2011. She was born June 8, 1919 in Greenup Co., KY to the late Field and Myrtle Horsley Howard. She married Glen Holton, who died January 18, 1973. Survivors include a daughter, Glenda (Anthony) Allen, of Richmond Dale; a son, Paul (Marleah) Holton, of Chillicothe; 4 grandsons; a granddaughter; 5 great-grandsons; 2 great-granddaughters; 2 brothers, Orville (Flora) and Raymond (Dorothy) Howard, both of Richmond Dale; and two sisters, Shirley Himelrick, of Richmond Dale and Edna Reed, of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Frances Warner. Mrs. Holton was a cook for the Head Start Program. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a life-long member of the Richmond Dale Church of God, where funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, Pastor Dean Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
