Gladys M. (Veris) Farrow, 94, of Chillicothe, died Sunday January 30, 2011, at Traditions of Chillicothe, following a brief illness. She was born July 19, 1916, in Frankfort, OH to the late Asa and Louise Richardson Veris. On June 24, 1951, she married Floyd P. Farrow, who preceded her in death on December 28, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Scott, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Shannon (Rekiya) Farrow; Kim (Sara) Veris; a special grandson and caregiver Kevin (Eja) Scott; Angela (Wendell) Scott Tucker; and Valerie Scott; 9 great-grandchildren; and a foster brother Roger Brown, Dayton, OH; special niece, Judith Veris Turner and family Garin Veris; Shawna and Gina Turner; and Jessica Turner Spady. She was predeceased by her sons Floyd "Skip" Farrow; and Mica Farrow; granddaughter Chene Farrow; sisters Clara and Mary Belle; and a brother Howard. Special thanks to those who so diligently assisted in Gladys' care, visited, etc., are Eja Scott, cousins Mary Turner, Bessie Cousins, Bertie Henton, James Brewer and Marian Brown. Thanks to Quinn Chapel AME Church, where she was a member. Gladys loved to embroider, cross stitch, do crossword puzzles, play board games and follow OSU Sports. She was active in these hobbies until the brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, February 3, with Rev. Acie Collins and Rev. Obadiah Harris II, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm Thursday at Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Quinn Chapel AME Church, 181 W.
