Gilbert Madden

Gilbert A. Madden, 70, of Chillicothe, died at 12:19pm Thursday, November 20, 2008, in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. James Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7pm at Haller Funeral Home. Gilbert was born March 27, 1938, in Ross Co. to the late Robert F. and Anita Brown Madden. On December 10, 1960, he married the former Delores S. Wolford, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Rita Haubeil, of Chillicothe; grandchildren Ericka (Elias) Ponte, Delaware, OH; Adam (Vikki) Koch, Dayton, OH; Ean Koch and Christopher Perry, both of Chillicothe; 6 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Beatrice Madden and Patricia Brown, both of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his son, Allan Madden. Gilbert was the owner/operator of the former Madden TV and Audio before retiring in 1994. He was a graduate of Unioto High School and a member of the Lion's Club, where he was a Past-President.
