Geraldine Doles

Geraldine L. "Jeri" Doles, 81, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly October 25, 2007, in her home. She was born December 29, 1925, in Chillicothe to the late Leslie W. and Martha Saultz Arledge. On October 15, 1945, she married Delbert J. Doles, who survives. Also surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law Timothy A. (Betty) Doles, Chillicothe; J. Michael (Pam) Doles, Grove City, OH; grandchildren Tad (Kim) Doles; Karen Doles, all of Chillicothe; Brian (Jennifer) Doles; Scott Doles; and Craig Doles, all of Grove City; great-grandchildren Tanner, Joshua, and Elizabeth Doles; brother and sister-in-law Leslie (Betty) Arledge, Chillicothe; brother Ted Arledge, Kingston; and a sister-in-law Mary Arledge, Chillicothe. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters Virginia Bell, Jean Rosemary, Francis and Billy Arledge and Bonnie Lou Clark. Jeri was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1945. She had worked at the former US Shoe Factory and as an election poll-worker. She was a homemaker who enjoyed family and friends, spending time at the Ross Co. Senior Citizens Center, lunches with Mead Retirees, bingo, and helping others. She was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday in the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
