Gerald Stewart

Gerald G. Stewart, Sr., 69, of Chillicothe, passed away at 11 :10 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2010 at home with his loving family following an extended illness. He was born April 23, 1940 in Middleport, Ohio to the late Gerald W. Stewart and the late Dorothy (Lewis) Stewart. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Phyllis, and four children, LJ. (Irene) Stewart, Angie (Jeff) Allen, John (Connie) Stewart, and Joe Stewart. Surviving grandchildren are Crystal (Justin) McDonald, Erica (Brad) Williamson, Michael Marek, Heather Stewart, T.J. Stewart, Jeffrey Allen, Erika Allen, Jordan Allen, Savannah Miller and Khiley Staples; great grandchildren Madison and Makenzie McDonald; and brothers, Dr. Ronald (Becky) Stewart and Arthur (Jane) Stewart. Gerald retired from AEP (Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company) after 33 years of service. He and his wife, Phyllis, were the owners of Pizza Chef Gourmet Pizza since 1993. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corp from 1957 to 1960. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home, with his brother, Dr. Ronald Stewart officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at Haller's.
