Gerald Stewart

Gerald O. Stewart, 72, of Londonderry, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born December 30, 1939 in Vinton County, son of the late Joseph S. and Zella Peck Stewart. Gerald retired from Chrysler and was an Army Veteran. He is survived by his daughters, Penny (Phil) Butler of Miamisburg, Ohio and Kathy Dalton of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Courtney Fout, Carrina Butler, Desireea and Maverick Dalton; a great grandchild, Jordan Dalton; brother, Burman Stewart of McArthur; sisters, Alice Nickels of McArthur, Roselene (Don) Mallott of Chillicothe and Judy (Theodore) Rogers of Dayton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Burley, Ovid and Eddie and a sister, Garnet Pettit. Due to the power outage in McArthur, funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, July 6, 2012 at Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Ave., Chillicothe, with Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating. Interment will be in Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry. Friends may call at the Haller Funeral Home on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
