Gerald Parker

Gerald D. "Jerry" Parker, 84, died at 8:52am September 27, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.   He was born July 30, 1933, in Chillicothe, to the late Elmer E. and Ellen (Buchanan) Parker. On December 26, 1953, he married Ynema Mathis, who survives.   Also surviving are his son Jay Parker, Chillicothe; and daughter Deena Parker, West Chicago, IL; and many extended family members of in-laws, nieces and nephews.   Jerry was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1951. He then earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University. He retired from Lockheed following 30 years of service as the director of labor relations. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of Redlands Lodge No. 300, F & AM.   A masonic funeral will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday, October 4, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, followed by a funeral service with Dr. Jason Link officiating. Graveside services will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon until 1pm Wednesday at Haller's.
