Georgia Stafford

Georgia M. Stafford, 97, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 11:10pm on April 24, 2012, in her home. She was born April 21, 1915, in Lewis County, KY, to the late George and Ollie (Huffman) Lewis. On December 5, 1942, she married Paul J. Stafford, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1982. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Paul Michael (Sue) Stafford, of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter Pamela Stafford, of Columbus; daughter and son-in-law Paula (James "Les") Bennett, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Brian (Wendy) Stafford; Tracy Osborne; Debra (Rich) Curfman; Gregory (Melissa) Bennett; great-grandchildren: Joshua Curfman; Connor Curfman; Logan Curfman; Olivia Stafford; Mikayla Stafford; Philip Stafford; and Hayley Curfman. Mrs. Stafford retired from the former US Shoe factory where she worked as a fancy stitcher. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Grandview Cemetery under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. At her request, calling hours will not be observed.
