Georgia Lea Graves, 84, of Chillicothe, formerly of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at her home, following an extended illness. She was born October 25, 1933, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late William McKinley "M.C." and Tealie (Montgomery) Tackett. On March 7, 1953, she married Charles Ralph Graves, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2011. Surviving is her daughter, Charma Blalock, of Tallahassee, FL; her three grandchildren, Charles (Christina), of Vancouver, WA, Theresa D., and Richard, both of Chillicothe; her great-grandchild, Lyric; two sisters, Virginia "Jenny" Jenkins, and Louise "Lou" (Robert) Weaver, both of Chillicothe; a brother, Wendell (Sharon) Tackett, of FL; her daughter-in-law, Becky Graves; a former daughter-in-law, Joyce Graves; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Janet Barnes. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard McKinley Graves, two sisters, Anna Judy, and Mintie "Myrt" Stevens, and two brothers, Stanley Tackett and William J. Tackett. Georgia was a graduate of Southeastern High School, Class of 1952. She was a former member of the VFW Post 108, the American Legion Post 62, AMVETS Post 4, and the fraternal order of Eagles 600. In her free time she enjoyed going square dancing, socializing with her friends, going fishing, quilting, and playing bingo. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00pm.
