George Thomas

George H. Thomas, 70, of Chillicothe, died at 11:56am on Sunday, February 21, 2015, following an extended illness. He was born May 4, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late George and Francis (Buckley) Thomas. George is survived by his wife, Sharon (Strong) Thomas; his son, George Thomas Jr.; a granddaughter, Summer Mullins; and three great-grandchildren, all of Chillicothe; one sister, Joni Simon, of Obetz, OH; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. On April 19, 1966, George enlisted in the United States Army where he honorably served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, loved his pet ducks, and was passionate about his farm animals. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 11:00am until the time of the service.
