George Mosley

April 15, 1928 — February 27, 2008

George F. "Red" Mosley, 79, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 4:08am Wednesday February 27, 2008, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Monday, March 3, in the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, 181 W. Main St., with Pastor Acie Eugene Collins officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veteran Honor Guard will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4-6pm at Haller Funeral Home, where a Masonic Funeral will be conducted at 6:00pm, and 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. Red was born April 15, 1928, in Ross Co. to the late Frank F. and Mildred Weaver Mosley. On July 5, 1949, he married the former Grace Ruth Juzang, who survives. Also surviving are his son Dale F. Mosley, of Gahanna; daughter and son-in-law Allyson (Shannon) Wallace, Pataskala, OH; grandchildren: Raemi Mosley, Allyse Thomas, and Aaron Thomas; a sister Patsy Bates, Pataskala; and brothers Gerald Mosley, Cincinnati; and Tim Mosley, Chillicothe. He was predeceased by a sister Jacqueline Smith and a brother Donald Mosley. Red retired from the Mead Paper Co. following over 40 years of service. He was a Korean Conflict Marine Corp Veteran, having received the Purple Heart. He was an active member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he served in many capacities including President Pro Tem of the Trustees, Steward Board and President of the Choir. He was also Past Master of the Ionic Lodge No. 6. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, 181 W. Main St., Chillicothe.
