George W. Long Jr. passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at the age of 66. He was born in Knoxville, TN on May 23, 1958 to George W. and Rita (Tardiff) Long Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. (French) Long, his step-son Matthew (Alisha Thompson) French both of Chillicothe, OH, his grandson, Zachary French, and granddaughters, Amber (Jacob) Leasure, and Abigail French, 2 Great-granddaughters, Caroline Leasure, and Isabelle French, sister, Anna Long, brother, Dwight Long, niece, Amanda (Ryan) Pontious, great nephew, Liam Pontious, and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Rita Long.
George attended St. Peters Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bonfires on long weekends listening to Classic Rock music, organic gardening, fishing, camping, and support his teams, the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
In keeping with George's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
