Geneva Detty

Geneva E. Detty, 85, died at 8:08pm Friday, January 20, at Westmoreland Place.   She was born May 27, 1931, in Ross County to the late Larkin and Mamie Kathryn (Leasure) Pritchard. On April 28, 1948, she married Marvin L. Detty, who preceded her in death on January 31, 2008.   Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Kathryn (Michael) McCorkle, Chillicothe; son and daughter-in-law Marvin (Patricia) Detty, Jr., Columbus; grandchildren: Kimberly (Robert) Dement, Chillicothe, Leslie (Eric) Cox, Chillicothe, and Lucas Detty, Columbus; great-grandchildren Kayla Dement and Olivia Cox; a sister Betty (Dale) Gaines, Circleville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Beeman, Dana, James and Donald Pritchard; and a sister Cleo Merriman.   Geneva was a member of Voice of Hope Church. She was a proud homemaker who enjoyed reading and loved being at the beach. The family would like to thank the staff of Westmoreland Place for their care.   Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, January 25, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor John Karlson and Elder Larry Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm at Haller's.
