Geneta Head

Geneta Arlene Head, 87, of Chillicothe, died January 18, 2022 at the Adena Regional Medical Center.

Geneta was born May 5, 1934 in Puxico, MO.  She graduated from Puxico High School, where she was a cheerleader and volleyball player. She married Thomas L. Head, and they were married for almost 70 years.  She worked part time for J. C. Penny for several years and enjoyed playing and watching golf and cooking for her family.  She was a lifelong member of the Independent Christian Church.

Geneta is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Sheryl (Barry) Reynolds; a son-in-law, John Campbell; grandchildren, Brooke Reynolds and Jason Kassovic; great-grandsons, Dylan and Aaron Kassovic; a sister, Juanita Wheeler; a brother, Vivan (Judy) Reed; and two nieces, Kim Wheeler and Ashley Reed Lawless; and nephew Scott Reed.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud Reed and Reta Reed Roser; a daughter, Deborah Campbell; and a grandson, Taylor Reynolds.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Jason Thomas, of the Adena Road Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery.  Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at Haller's on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the charity of your choice.
