Gary Roger Henness, 81, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 25, 2022, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, following an extended illness.
He was born June 4, 1941, in Frankfort, Ohio, son of the late Everett Marlin and Margaret Jane (Hurles) Henness. On May 20, 1967, he married Helen Mae (Lohr) Henness, and together shared over 55 years of marriage.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by three children, Pamela Henness, Michael (Michele) Henness, and Elizabeth (Nathan) Johnson; Grandchildren, Allen Henness, Clarissa (William) Cokonougher, Toby Henness, and Cooper Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Dean and Abigail Cokonougher; step-grandchildren, Ashton, Nate Jr., Carson, Madelyn, and Alexis Johnson; and one brother, Alfred Ray Henness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joshua Betts, and Ashlee Johnson; and a brother, Marlin Lee Henness.
Gary was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Sears in Chillicothe.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services.
