Gary Bowling

Gary Lee Bowling, 59, of Chillicothe, formerly of Grove City, died 12:29 am, August 15, 2015, at his home, following a battle with lung cancer. He was born February 1, 1956 in Columbus, OH to the late Ira W. and Virginia M. Myers Bowling. Survivors include his daughter, Andrea (Matthew) Helenthal, of Grove City; three grandchildren, William, Chase and Mitchell; a sister, Connie (George) Damron, of Amanda, OH; several nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Debra Smith, of Sunbury and Susan McGraw, of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Paulette Myers and Shirley Bowling and a brother, Donald Johnson. Gary was an auto mechanic, and loved fixing up old cars. He was an avid fisherman and Harley-Davidson rider. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State University, James Cancer Hospital in his honor.
